InfoWorld has published an in-depth test of computer security products from McAfee, Symantec, Trend Micro, Check Point and - of course - Sophos.

InfoWorld's conclusion was that "Sophos Endpoint Security and Control covers all important bases regarding to client security by bundling anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, application control, host intrusion protection, and network access control. The management console is very intuitive, and the reporting engine provides all the information admins will need. It offers a wide range of platform support, including Linux, Unix, OpenVMS, and Mac."

Which was rather nice of them to say.

You can read the full detailed report on InfoWorld's website, and find out how the other products fared, here.

Or alternatively read the corporate propaganda from Sophos.
